The Challenge
This Billings residence yearned for a design transformation. The homeowners envisioned a revitalized space that was elegant yet inviting. With interior design defined by a monochromatic color scheme, our challenge lay in sourcing pieces that would create visual interest and a comfortable warmth without compromising on the uncluttered, serene aesthetic.
Our Solution
We focused on fabrics to help reinvent the space. Presenting designers with a diverse palette of textile weaves, colors, and materials, and linking them with our network of trusted manufacturers in Europe, we provided a framework for creativity that helped the design find definition. The resulting mix of wool, silk, and linen gave each piece of furniture a tactile richness while adding layers of depth to the otherwise simple color scheme. A custom-made sofa, upholstered in a specialty fabric created by the designer's son, became a centerpiece. This unique fabric featured a complex weave of dark gray foundational threads intertwined with silky white fibers, creating an effect of patchy velvet over a lustrous silver-gray base. A handmade rug sourced from Nepal brought an artisanal touch to the space. Our collaborative approach turned the limitation of a monochromatic palette into an opportunity to showcase sophisticated textures and fabrics, transforming the Chinook Residence into a modern haven of comfort and style.
