The Challenge
The vision for The Camino, a Mexican restaurant in Missoula's historic Mercantile building, blended Mexico's vibrant traditional character with modern flair. This was more than a typical procurement project – it demanded a creative approach to transform the space, with both the built environment and furniture thoughtfully crafted to serve the authentic ambiance.
Our Solution
We collaborated with local artisans in Missoula to support the design team’s vision with custom pieces that define The Camino. The focal points of custom carpentry were the community tapas table and the bar top, not just functional but integral to the restaurant's character. Additionally, we coordinated the creation and installation of the agave bar, strategically positioned to enhance the dining experience. Through these bespoke elements, diligently sourced fabrics and finishes, and our streamlined, efficient process, we helped realize a space that meets the demands of a bustling restaurant while exuding the warmth and spirit of Mexico.
